AUGUST 10, 2017
Well, things have certainly been busy for us here the past few months. Starting in April we had a reboot of sorts with new owners Kevin Twellman and Claudia Brodie. Since then, the store has had a bit of a face lift and looks better than ever. Our biography section has been moved to the basement and our Sci-Fi/Horror section has gotten a nice cozy spot in the basement with a carpet, a few chairs and a table, perfect for relaxing while reading the works of Asimov or Tolkien. On the weekends you can be sure to be greeted by Kevin and Claudia's dog, Blue, who is the sweetest dog ever and never gets enough attention.
Thursdays have been hopping on South Grand with Shop Late Til 8 and we've been hosting a bi-monthly event called An Evening of Wine and Poetry with successful events in June and just this past Sunday, August 6th with a next one lined up for October 8th. Starting Sunday, August 20th, we will be looking to host live music for a few hours in the afternoon on weekends. On October 14th we will be have a signing by local writer April Floyd, author of "Unique." To quote the movie Almost Famous, "it's all happening."
